Antique Furniture

Many people will spend hours or even days shopping for antique furniture. It is their hobby. Antique furniture is a link to history, a conversation piece and can increase in value over time.

Antique furniture can be handed down through generations within families, can come from friends, and be found in antiques stores and at estate and garage sales. Antique furniture can be mixed and matched to suit your personal decorating taste and can often fit right in with more modern pieces.

In the United States, furniture must be at least 100 years old at the time of purchase to be considered an antique. Some repairs or refinishing may be needed on antique furniture.
