Retro Furniture

Retro furniture comes from our relatively recent past. It can date back as far as the 1920s but retro furniture is more commonly thought of as coming from the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s. Original pieces and reproductions are sought after by those who are interested in furnishing their homes with something different than their neighbours.

Retro furniture differs from modern or contemporary furniture in that it often uses bright colours and patterns. Retro furniture can be found in specialty shops but may be quite expensive. Check out garage sales, second hand shops and online stores or auctions.
